LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- Erratic driving, high speeds and a crash. That was the events that transpired just before Jacey Ann Wallace was arrested last week.

Last Thursday, around 3:30am, LaFollette Police Officer Dillion Marney noticed a red Toyota swerving across lanes on Jacksboro Pike had no tag lights. This prompted Marney to attempt to stop the car. The driver, later identified as Jacey Ann  Wallace, 22, LaFollette, allegedly “accelerated aggressively” near South Avenue. As Wallace attempted her getaway, she was driving 110mph in a 40mph zone, the report said. Turning onto S. Cumberland Ave., Wallace allegedly “nearly collided with several vehicles” but didn’t stop.

When she reached Long Hollow Rd., Wallace turned all the lights on the car off but kept going, according to the report.

Around the area of Mariner Point Rd., the Toyota left the road crashing in a ditch.

Wallace attempted to run but Officer Marney stopped her.

While on the ground, Wallace allegedly offered the excuse of being “scared” for not stopping the car. A search of the car revealed a black torch light with “Jacey” on it, a silver spoon coated with a residue and a silver pipe also coated with a residue, the report said.

Wallace was charged with evading arrest, speeding, violation of the light law, failure to exercise due care, reckless driving, failure to provide proof of insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
