At Athens is where the Stars play Karns

RUTLEDGE, TN (WLAF)- It was a high drama affair Wednesday night when the All-Stars from La Follette visited the Grainger County Stars.

Grainger jumped out to a 2-oh lead in the first inning only to see La Follette ring up a run in the second frame.

La Follette decided to bring in Kamden Forsyth to pitch, and that’s when the game changed. Grainger did not score again as Forsyth mowed down a string of batters with 14 strike outs.

By knotting the game at two in the sixth inning, La Follette forced extra innings. La Follette All-Star Bo Wright stole home in extra innings giving La Follette the 3-2 win.

Post season play continues for the La Follette Stars when they venture to Athens on Friday. It’ll be a 6pm first pitch as La Follette battles Karns. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/19/2025-6AM)
