The Farmers Market opens Saturday at 8am with homemade Tennessee grown goods
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- What began in circa 2009 opens back up for another season on Saturday, and you’re invited to come out. The Farmers Market starts Saturday at 8am in the big parking lot on the hill across from Doyle’s Tire Shop at 2520 Jacksboro Pike.
Megan Colley has been the manager of the Farmers Market since 2016 and continues signing up vendors for this season. “Several vendors will be on hand for this first weekend with more coming onboard as we get further into the season,” said Colley.

Items and selection vary each week as the season goes along. “There are all kinds of great items including farm fresh eggs and honey, handcrafted decorations and gifts. There are even flowers. Of course, fresh produce abounds in its season. You’ll also find homemade baked goods, soaps, garden plants, woodcrafts and more,” said Colley.
Cindy Weaver with Cin’s Corner features salves and sometimes she even has grape jam. “Come see me even if you just want to visit,” said Weaver.
Some of the other folks who plan to be here on this first weekend are Eileen Bunch and James Gross. Bunch is known for her tomato plants. Honey is Gross’s calling card.
Allison Frye will be along this first Saturday and through the season with Allie Leigh Crochet. “I’ll have plushies and other varieties of crochet items,” said Frye.
Colley will be on hand as always. She’ll feature her Tied & True tent with lots of tie-dye T-shirts and other items.
“The selection at the Farmers Market varies from week to week. So, you’ll want to visit us often,” said Colley.

The Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8am until 2pm from April 26 through October 4, 2025, at 2520 Jacksboro Pike, between La Follette and Jacksboro. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/25/2025-6AM)
