JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Last year, in this very game, against Alcoa as well, the Jacksboro Middle School Lady Eagles had their season come to a close in the Sectional Title game. The 2024-2025 Lady Eagles looked to change that, and at first, it looked as if they would during Saturday’s rematch.

The Lady Eagles led most of the first quarter, by as many as five points, and were ahead of the Lady Tornadoes 16-13 after one quarter of play.

Jacksboro maintained a lead through much of the second quarter, leading 24-22 at halftime.

After halftime, momentum switched toward the Tornadoes’ side. Alcoa jumped in front, and hung on to the lead the rest of the way. The Lady Tornadoes ended up on top 54-44, ending Jacksboro’s incredible season.

The Lady Eagles’ season was filled with quite the list of accomplishments. The Blue-and-Gold finished with a beyond impressive 21-1 record, a clean sweep of Robertsville, an undefeated regular season, an area championship, and an appearance in the Sectional Final for back-to-back-seasons.
