JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- New Campbell County Director of Schools Charlotte McCoy (above) has been on the job since April, and her first full school year began earlier this month. “I am so pleased with the way everything has gone so smoothly and started so well. Everyone has been so supportive and friendly,” said McCoy.

“We have more students today than we had Monday, the first full day of classes. Counting Pre-K students, 218, the current enrollment is 4,788. That number is expected to increase especially since we have openings in Pre-K,” said McCoy.

Among the thoughts shared in Tuesday’s director’s report was the total students served during the summer feeding program. More than 55,000 students enjoyed breakfast while nearly 58,000 lunches were served, according to McCoy.
