Wlaf1450Donald Whitsitt, TSGT USAF (Retired), age 77, of LaFollette, formerly of Gardendale, Alabama went to his heavenly home at 10:48 am May,31, 2025 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tn. Don was a proud 20-year veteran of the US Air Force and served his country throughout the world. He also served his community in LaFollette by volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity Restore and was an active member of West LaFollette Baptist Church where he enjoyed hanging out in the crow’s nest. A friend to everyone he met, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Will Cushman, Alyssa McCoy, Josh Dunbarr (Kat), Zack Dunbar (Sam), Cierra Dunbarr
(George), Kayti Metzger (Jeremy), Bryson Ault

Several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 PM Monday, June 2nd, 2025 at West LaFollette Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 7 PM, Rev. Kenny Allen officiating.
The Interment will be held 3 PM Saturday June 7, 2025 at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, Alabama with Military Honors.
