Donald R. Lee, age 88, of LaFollette, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of LaFollette, a US Army Veteran, and retired from Rice Oil Company. Preceded in death by Parents: Sam Lee and Ada Kirkland, Brothers: Kenneth Lee and Wayne Edward Hendricks, Sister: Rebecca Lee, and Grandson: Ryan Wilson.

Survived by:

Wife: Gloria Overbey Lee

Son: Jeffrey Lee

Grandchildren: Heather Wilson, Tara Lee Gillespie and husband Penn, Skyler Muse, Peyton Lee, Eli Lee, Charlee Lee

Great-Grandchildren: Alex Sloan, Sierea Sloan, Harley Hembree, Haylee Hembree, Harper Hembree, Wesson Muse

Sister: Francis Hedgecoth

Several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Cross-Smith Chapel. Interment is to follow the funeral service at Powell Valley Cemetery with Military Honors given by the Honor Guard of Campbell County.

  2. does anyone remember when don worked at the cherokee theater in lafollette.go back to the very early 60s.i took his job when he went into the army. very good man. im sorry.jack
