Mary Elizabeth Owens Housley, age 78 of LaFollette,

Mary Elizabeth Owens Housley, age 78 of LaFollette, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at her home. She was born on September 30, 1946, to the late Floyd Housley and Ella Mae (Bratcher) Housley. Mary was a loving wife of 55 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially on holidays. She also loved attending church at Stanfield Church of God, where she was a member for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Owens, daughter Sherry Owens, brother Jimmy Housley, and sisters Jessie Anderson and Peggy Griffin.

Mary is survived by her sons Jimmy Owens and wife Carol of LaFollette, Eric Owens and Thekla of Boise, Idaho, Charles Owens, and Justin Owens and Brittany of LaFollette; brothers Kenneth Housley of Indiana, Eddie Housley and Cindy of LaFollette, George Housley of Clinton, and Bobby Housley of LaFollette; sisters Margaret Peters of LaFollette and Sandi Pemberton of LaFollette; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in the Martin Wilson Funeral Home chapel, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Delmus Bruce officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2025, to go ina funeral procession to Housley-Sweat Cemetery.
