JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- No doubt it’s been a successful high school fishing career for the team of Paxton Wormsley and Grayson Dykes under Head Coach Gabe Keen at Campbell County High School. The duo looks to continue its success at the collegiate level under Keen’s father, Tennessee Wesleyan University Head Coach Mike Keen. The pair signed to fish for the elder Keen on Thursday morning at Brown Gym on the CCHS campus.

“They were my 13th and 14th from the high school to sign a scholarship. They are great kids. Fun to be around. They have represented our team well. They have been very committed and fished well for us,” said Coach Gabe Keen.

Grayson Dykes is headed to Athens to fish for Tennessee Wesleyan University.

The Wormsley-Dykes team is only the second team that has signed as a team since Gabe Keen has been at CCHS. Tyler Chumley and Jake Clowers signed Keen’s first season going to Bryan College.

“My dad has a good team down at Tennessee Wesleyan, and they are joining a crazy good class of freshmen that he’s recruited. I’m sure they will do well. I’m proud of them,” said Campbell Head Coach Gabe Keen.

Paxton Wormsley signs with Tennessee Wesleyan University of Athens.

Wormsley and Dykes aren’t done quite yet as they qualified for the Bassmaster High School National Championship at Kentucky Lake (Paris, Tennessee) at the end of July. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/15/2026-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S JOSH PARKER)
