LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- A shirtless man stacking rocks prompted a call to police earlier this week.
LaFollette Police Officer Anthony Mahar responded to the call about a suspicious person at 187 Water Plant Rd, LaFollette, on Tue., Nov. 5 around 5 pm. When he arrived, he allegedly found Ethan Lee Campbell shirtless and, in the dirt, stacking rocks up. Officer Mahar asked Campbell what he was doing. Campbell’s alleged response was he was “thinking about the ocean and things like that,” according to a report from the LPD. Campbell also allegedly told Mahar he thought someone might be trying to shoot him in the head.
Campbell denied taking any drugs, the report said. But he did allegedly admit to taking drugs “a couple of days ago.”
He was also unable to articulate what day it was when asked to do so.
Campbell was arrested and charged with being under the influence of an illegal substance.
Campbell, 22, 873 Pleasant Ridge Road, LaFollette was charged with public intoxication.
