LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)- WLAF readers, I would like to take a moment of your time and kindly request a helping hand for a worthy cause. This December, the 134th Security Forces Squadron, based out of McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base will be hosting its 24th annual Santa Cops charity event.
This event is very near and dear to the hearts of the 134th SFS members. Each year, our unit raises money throughout the year to benefit the less fortunate children who will be spending their holiday season at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. The 134th gathers specific wish lists from every admitted child and goes shopping for them to make sure they have the best Christmas possible.
In December, members of the Tennessee Air National Guard, along with Santa Claus and his elves, distribute those presents to the children who may not be fortunate enough to have a traditional Christmas morning in the comfort of their homes. Our goal is to make Santa Cops 2024 the best year yet, and to accomplish that goal we need your help!
If you find it in your heart to donate even the smallest amount, this is certainly a worthy cause. Every little bit helps us to make sure these children have the best Christmas season they can possibly have.
The 134th SFS is currently accepting donations through Venmo and checks. Our Venmo can be found by searching @SecurityForcesAssociation and checks can be made payable to Santa Cops C/O Security Forces Association and will be accepted at the LaFollette Police Department front lobby.
Thank you all, and we wish you a great Christmas Season! (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-11/07/2024-6AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF THE OFFICIAL UNITED STATES AIR FORCE WEBSITE)
