Several applications have been picked up

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The City of La Follette began accepting package store applications on Wednesday. “We’ve had a lot of interest with several applications already requested though none has been returned,” said Stan Foust, La Follette City Administrator.

The deadline for returning an application is Wed., April 30, 2025, at 5pm. Incomplete applications and applications without all attached documents will not be accepted, according to Foust.

The application fee of $1,500 will be accepted at the time the application is approved.

The City will have two liquor stores, one on the east end of La Follette and one on the west end of La Follette.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/18/2025-6AM)

  1. They must have already picked who will be having the stores. Who in their right mind would throw the money necessary to have a building, leased or owned, in advance, and the legal aid for getting creating an LLC or business without knowing if they could get the license that would be necessary to recoup any of that invested capital?
