Mr. Glenn E. Jones, age 89 of LaFollette passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025. He was the oldest church member and served as Deacon of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Glenn was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, and was a US Army and US Army Reserves Veteran serving tours of duty in Germany and Panama. He is preceded in death by parents, Golda and Elizabeth Jones, and brother, Clinton Jones.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Jewell (Russell) Jones; daughter, Carol Vinsant and husband, Troy; son, Russell Jones and wife, April; granddaughter, Mary Beth Seiber and husband, Tim; great-grandchildren, Mason and Claire Seiber; sister, Annette Jones; sister-in-law, Andria Jones.

The family would like to express a special thank you to UT Hospice Nurse, Autumn Reynolds.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kevin Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Glenn E. Jones.

  1. I have known Glenn since I was a child, he was a good man and he was a roll model for a Christian of man of God.
    I hope that all the young men and women in Bethlehem community, had the opportunity that I had as a young
    man to see God’s man as Decon, neighbor, friend. God bless the family.
