LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- When Justin Campbell was found with narcotics yesterday morning he offered an excuse- he was “doing it for his kids.”
But he didn’t stop there.
LaFollette Police stopped the 2008 Ford Campbell was a passenger in during the early hours of Tuesday. And didn’t take long to discover he had probation violation warrant, according to the arrest report.
After he was arrested, Campbell told Sgt. Jesse Fergusson he “needed to talk” to him. Campbell allegedly confessed he had “three ounces of meth in his pants” and he was “doing it for his kids,” the arrest report said.
At the jail, when LPD Officer Dillion Marney arrived, Campbell had the same request for him. This time Campbell threw a yellow potato chip bag on the ground. Inside it were “three separate plastic bags with large amounts of a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine,” the arrest report said.
When the bags were weighed, they came out to a collective 86.3 grams, records said.
Campbell, 38, LaFollette was charged with manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of methamphetamine.
