Wlaf1450Grace Anna Heaton – Oblinger, age 91, of Germantown, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024. She was born in Berea, Kentucky on November 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Grace Eleanor (Smith) and Daniel Webster Rogers. Grace received her B.A. at Miami University ~ Oxford; she taught in the Valley View School System for over 26 years at Farmersville Elementary School. She enjoyed being with family and friends and being part of the Germantown community. She is a member of Germantown Methodist Church, Historical Society of Germantown, and Germantown area Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James “Jim†Heaton in 1978, and her second husband, Richard “Dick†Oblinger in 1993; and a daughter, Julia Heaton-Garrison in 1993; a sister, Jane Carol; and a brother, Dan Rogers. Grace is survived by her children, Mark (Lori) Heaton, Anne (Rick) Stevens, and Amy (Gary) Ross; 7 grandchildren David, Beverly, Austin, Tyler, Zachary, Mitchell, and Presley; 3 sisters Jean Cox, Rosemary Morton, and Susan Ely as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Beeler Cemetery, in Speedwell, Tennessee, with Rev. Robert Angel officiating. If desired memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at lls.org.
