Jim Lay, aged 74 of Duff, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026. He was a member of Grace Age Fellowship Church and a retired truck driver.

Sisters: Geraldine Barnes, Carolyn Arcaro

Daughters: Tracy Campbell and Anthony Davis and Stephanie Johnson and husband Randy

Son: Shannon Lay

10 Grandchildren and several Great-Grandchildren

Sisters: Janice Sparks and Nalda Smith

Several Nieces, Nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends

The family will receive friends Thursday July 23, 2026, from 5-7 PM at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service to follow at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel with Rev. Wade Walls and Rev. David Sizemore officiating. The family and friends will meet Friday July 24 at 10 AM at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and go in procession to Peabody Cemetery for an 11 AM interment.
