Campbell and Fulton look for first win of the season tonight on Bob Black Field

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell Cougars are excited for their next challenge in the 0 & 1 Fulton Falcons. The two teams meet up tonight in a 7:30 game on Fulton’s home turf. WLAF has all the live radio, TV and internet coverage.

“The players were disappointed after last week’s loss, but we circled the wagons and went back to work this week. Hopefully, we’ll play a lot better this week,” said Campbell Head Coach Mark Pemberton.
Pemberton’s focus for his team during this week of prepping for Fulton has been improving technique and playing more physical. “I’ve been to Fulton many times over the years, and I know what that entails. They’ve had some great teams over the years,” said Pemberton.
“Obviously, the speed is a concern. They have more players than they’ve had in a while. Coach (Justin) Long has done a good job after taking over,” said Pemberton.
Pemberton is looking for good fan support tonight at Fulton Stadium. “These kids deserve it (the support). I just wish we were playing here on The Hill in front of another great crowd like we had last Friday night,” said Coach Pemberton.
Friday’s pre-game routine will be much like its first. “We’ll feed ’em here, they’ll rest some, we’ll have a walk-thru, jump on the bus and go down and play,” said Pemberton.
Both Campbell and Fulton are coming off season opening losses from a week ago. The Cougars fell 41-0 to Halls at home while Fulton, after a good start, lost at Central 31-12.
