There were high fives, applause, certainly tears, photos and videoing as Zach Lloyd’s discharge parade from Vanderbilt Medical Center made its way from his room and down the hall.  The young pastor at East La Follette Baptist church has survived COVID-19, its many effects and a double-lung transplant.  WLAF is featuring a daily series this week on Zach’s incredible journey, a journey his wife Sara says, “It was a miracle, because no one can explain it.”

This is the first in a series of stories this week on COVID-19 survivor Zach Lloyd.
