LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Safety concerns for those who travel the valley are being addressed.

The improvements to Hwy 63/Stiner Hwy are projected to be completed in 2023.

Earlier this week the new 45 mph speed limit signs were installed, and now the road name signs and stop signs have been installed which will help travelers to locate roads and where they need to stop and check for on coming traffic before pulling on to the highway.  Along with the stop signs, white end of lane markers have been put down. 1. They need to fix all the pot holes head up the valley to or reimburse people for tires and suspension damage

  2. How about addressing the pot holes on the east bound side of the road? It seems like TDOT is ignoring some of the most dangerous issues. After you pass Davis Chapel road, the highway becomes a traffic hazard. You either have to dodge pot holes that could bust a tire or hope you can fit in the small strip of pavement that you are given to drive in which is next to the double yellow line. Hopefully, someone sees the problem with the rest of this construction zone soon.
