KANSAS CITY, MO (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Former Campbell Lady Cougar Sarah Cain-Weinburger and her Bryan College Women’s Basketball team discovered their journey to Sioux City, Iowa for the NAIA National Championship as the national office released the Opening Round brackets, the first time an Opening Round will be used for the women’s basketball national championship, Thursday evening.

The Lady Lions earned a number two seed in the Lakeland (Fla.) bracket, hosted by Southeastern University, and will face off with third-seeded Webber International University on Friday, March 12th at 5:00PM EST. The winner of the matchup advances to take on the number one seed in the bracket, Campbellsville University, in the championship game Saturday, March 13th at 5:00PM EST. The winner of the pod will be one of 16 teams to advance to the final site at Sioux City, Iowa.

The Lady Lions are making their fourth straight appearance in the NAIA National Championship and their 10th overall appearance while Webber is making its first trip to the national tournament since 2013.

Limited fan attendance will be allowed for the games. Tickets will go on sale for the Friday games on Wednesday, March 10th at 10:00AM. Tickets for the championship games will go on sale the morning of the 13th at 10:00AM.
