CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – A young Caryville woman reportedly beat on the doors of two different homes last Thursday evening. No one would let her in. However, someone did call police.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Hopson answered the call of an intoxicated person beating on a door trying to get inside. When the sergeant arrived, he found 22-year- old Kayla Williams of Caryville at another home on Shady Cove Road.

One of the homes where Williams tried to gain entry was the home of a family member. He told Weaver that Williams had lived there more than a month ago and never returned for her belongings. When the family member did not answer the door, Williams went to the next home over where Sergeant Weaver placed her under arrest.

Weaver said in his report Williams was very unstable and moving randomly appearing to be intoxicated on narcotics. He described that she was causing a disturbance and alarm.

The arrest was made just after 7 pm, and Williams was charged with PI (public intoxication). (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/11/2021-6AM)
