February is American Heart Month

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A dozen vendors were set up Monday afternoon at Woodson’s Mall sharing heart health information and programs available in Campbell County. Entities represented include CHET (Community Health of East Tennessee), Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services, American Lung Association, McNabb Center, Knoxville Academy of Medicine Foundation, ASAP of Anderson, CHET’s Black Lung Program, Teen Dating Violence Awareness, Tennessee Community Resource Network Community Care Hub, Omni Family of Services (with an office located inside Woodson’s Mall), Tennessee Child Welfare/Domestic Violence Liaison Program and ETHRA’s Office on Aging.

Becky Pierce is in her eighth year with Office on Aging.

Becky Pierce with Office on Aging explains her office provides all the resources for any age and many for the elderly. “Walk-ins are welcome or you can call ahead 865.705.9675, and we also make homes visits to folks who are homebound,” said Pierce.

ETHRA’s Office on Aging is located behind The Local on Jacksboro Pike.
