William Scott Stooksbury, age 57 of Lafollette, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at his home. He was born on January 12, 1968 in Knoxville to the late William Maurice Stooksbury and Brenda Stokes Jordan. He served his country admirably as a chaplain’s assistant in the US Army and then in the National Guard. Scott was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed attending when he was able. He always wanted to be the “fun uncle” and enjoyed playing board games, video games, and just having fun with his family. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandparents, Tom and Geneva Stokes.

He is survived by: brother, Shawn Stooksbury and wife Christine; niece, Abbi Stooksbury; nephews, Corey Kispert, Drew Stooksbury and wife Shelby; great-nieces and nephews, Avery Stooksbury; Broly Kispert, Leon Kispert, Kameron Kispert, and Brendan Chase; cousins, Penny Sullivan, Ronnie T. Stokes, Rosy Heck, Cassidy Stokes, Janie Milliken; and other family and friends.

The family is planning a memorial service for a later date.

Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of all arrangements.
