Mr. Walter Wallace Disspayne age 68 of Jacksboro passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026. He was born January 29, 1958 in LaFollette, TN, a 1976 graduate of Campbell County High School, the first graduating class of CCHS, a member of the LaFollette Church of God, and proudly served as a US Army Reservist. Throughout his working career, Walter wore many hats including working with Pyro Shows for nearly 30 years, a school bus operator, tow-truck driver, tire and auto-body shop owner/operator, skating rink and arcade owner/operator, and was employed with Woodson’s Cash Stores and Quality Lawn Care. He was also an avid antique and gun collector, enjoyed mowing, watching NASCAR, and was a former race car driver while living in Texas.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Wallace Disspayne and wife, Sharon; mother, Rose Lee (Russell) Pye and husband, Max Pye, Sr.; grandparents, Colonel Monroe Disspayne, Margaret Edna Gatlin, Walter Russell, and Mary Elizabeth Russell; mother-in-law, Betty Smith; aunt, Jean Tidwell; and nephew, Bently Perkins.

Walter is survived by his wife, Sandra Disspayne; children, Amanda Ayers and husband, Darrell, Laura Adkins, Donald Disspayne, and Shay Cadle and husband, Jason; grandchildren, Daniel Disspayne, Alyssa Disspayne and Juilo Rosas, Tommy Partin, Madison Cadle, Lucas and Sara Ayers, and Laura and Adam Brugman; great-grandchildren, Asher Rosas, Parker Ayers, and Taylan Ayers; Siblings, Terisa Morrison, Darlene and Eddie Perkins, Roger Disspayne, and Gail Disspayne; special dear friends, Paul Sweat, Neal Chaniott, Lansden Hill, Galia Thompson, the Pyro Shows crew, and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the LaFollette Church of God. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM with Pastor Michael Dent, Rev. Allen Shepherd, and Bro. Paul Sweat officiating. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 10:30 AM at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 11:00 AM Graveside Services and Interment. Military Honors will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County.
