Everette Gaylor “Uncle Odie” Kitts, age 84, of La Follette

Everette Gaylor “Uncle Odie” Kitts, age 84 but age 30 at heart, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026. He loved spending time talking with his friends and spending time with his family.

Everette is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Stokes Kitts; parents, Richard Austin Kitts and Maude Rutherford Kitts; brothers, Bob Kitts and Tim Kitts.

He is survived by his daughter, Robin Kitts of Middleboro, KY; step-daughter, Penny Sullivan of Clinton; and the one whom he raised as his daughter, Janie Stokes; 1 grandson, Liam; brother, Tony Kitts; sisters, Portia Back and husband Tom of Cincinnati, OH, Melissa Moore and husband Frank of LaFollette, Linda Rogers of LaFollette, and Debbie McMahan of LaFollette; sisters-in-law, Janice Kitts and Joanie Kitts; special niece, Laura, and many special nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

 The family would like to thank Betty, Amy, and Donna for their wonderful care.
