Close to 200 veterans, their families and guests, attended April Veterans Breakfast, the 50th

War veteran, Ronnie Wright, left, is with law enforcement veteran Darryl Chapman. Wright has attended all 38 of the monthly Veterans Breakfasts held at Jacksboro since they began in 2023.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Saturday’s Veterans Breakfast was the largest, yet, of the 50 breakfasts county leaders have hosted since the first breakfast on March 4, 2023. Tim Short Ford of La Follette sponsored the April 4 breakfast held at the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. Veteran Roger McCarter of Romac Self Storage was the very first sponsor (CORRECTION: McCarter tells us he is not a veteran). See the list of 2025 breakfast sponsors and all the sponsors since that first breakfast further down this page.

There have been 12 Veterans Breakfasts in the Jellico area.

Members of the Tim Short Ford of La Follette staff were in attendance.
Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch, center, presents Charlie Burchfield, left, and Jimmy Brafford, right, of Tim Short Ford of La Follette with a certificate of appreciation.
This is the fourth Veterans Breakfast Tim Short Ford of La Follette has sponsored. Veterans signed signature boards at each event.

  1. Tim Short Ford of LaFollette It was my honor to attend the breakfast. The veterans who put everything on the line for this country deserve continuous recognition. I am humbled by their service and the support of their families. God Bless America.

  2. One correction to the story, I am not a veteran. I coordinate the breakfasts and have sponsored some but I do it as a supporter of the veterans but am not a veteran myself.
