Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen meet on Monday

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- In less than 10 minutes, the Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen worked through the monthly agenda yesterday afternoon.

Greg Bowling from Irtec was present requesting permission to clean debris from a creek bed in the Springfield Subdivision. The board approved this item. While discussing the issue, Mayor Shayne Green told Bowling about another issue to be addressed in the subdivision. Bowling told Green he would go by and look at the issue.

The board then approved the purchase of a combination Fax/Printer/Copier IScanner for the Library. The cost is $589.99.

Luke Barton was promoted from part time police officer to full time officer at the rate of $19 an hour.

Solicitation of bids for the purchase of a one-ton truck for the street department with a snow-plow package and capability to use the salt-spreader was approved. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-08/25/2026-6AM)
