Due to a technical snag on Thursday, here’s this week’s Throwback Thursday

Ninety years later, this building still stands.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Today’s Throwback Thursday (on Friday) takes us back to 1935. Today this building still stands at the corner of East Central and North Indiana Avenue.

Ninety years ago, it was a fairly new building, and it was the location of Central Auto Sales.  The business started with used car sales in early 1935 , but by mid-year, it had become the Dodge – Plymouth dealership.

Back in the day, C.E. Hollingsworth was the Manager and  M.F. Reed was the sales manager.

If you look closely, you can see part of the M.E. North Methodist Church across the street on the other corner where the Red Roof Market now sits. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-03/21/2025-6AM)
