‘If it’s within 20-degrees from outside to inside, everything should be fine’- Kenny Allen, A-C Tech

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- And you think it’s hot for you? Your air-conditioning is being pushed to its max, and air-conditioning servicemen have never been more popular. “It’s so hot right now, people think everything’s supposed to keep up,” said Kenny Allen with Allen Heating and Cooling (top photo).

Veteran A-C technician Kenny Allen is going from pillar to post these days. WLAF News caught up with Allen Tuesday evening just after seven o’clock.

Wednesday’s hot sunshine will push temperatures to around the mid-90s while the heat indices, the feels-like temperature, will top out close to 105-degrees. “Everybody’s wanting it to be 68-degrees, and it ain’t gonna happen. I recommend you keep your thermostat set to 72. If it’s within 20-degrees from outside to your inside, everything should be fine,” said Allen.

For this assignment, Allen was able to stay out of the direct sun.

Allen suggests keeping your filters clean. “Shut ’em off, your A-C unit, every once and a while. Give ’em a break and turn ’em back on,” said Allen. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/25/2025-6AM)
