Connect to WLAF Saturday night after the Cougars game at about 8:45pm for a trip back in time
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Connect HERE for the fun of Casey Kasem’s American Top 40 The 70s trips back to February 28, 1976, Saturday right after the Cougars game over WLAF radio. That should be at about 8:45pm Saturday. The three hours of memories are brought to you by Maynard’s Auto Parts and State Representative Dennis Powers.
The theme from a popular television show, S.W.A.T., was playing on everyone’s radio. It is an instrumental song written by Barry De Vorzon and performed by American funk group Rhythm Heritage. Eric Carmen had his first solo hit after leaving The Raspberries with All By Myself. The Who had another hit, this time with Squeeze Box, and David Bowie was on the radio with Golden Years. In addition to these songs, you’ll hear the nation’s other top 36 songs over WLAF just like they all played here on the old radio station in 1976.
Casey Kasem’s American Top 40, The 70s, airs Saturday nights at 7:00 o’clock (this Saturday after the Cougars game) over WLAF’s FM 100.9 and AM 1450 and is brought to you by Maynard’s Wrecker Service & Auto Parts and State Representative Dennis Powers. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/28/2025-6AM)
