It’s been a non-stop day for firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service

Firefighters battled a brush fire on Friday afternoon in rough terrain.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Of all days to have fires; a day with a Fire Danger Statement in effect. The day started with a car fire on I-75 followed by a house fire that spawned a brush fire, and then there was a late afternoon brush fire. Units from Caryville Volunteer Fire Department and Jacksboro Fire Department handled the car fire with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service handling the house and brush fires. Forestry Division personnel assisted on the second brush fire.

About four to five acres burned on a windy, dry day.

Just before 3pm Friday, firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service were dispatched to Low Gap Road (CORRECTION), near Bakers Forge Cemetery, to battle a brush fire.
