Tennessee Tailgate is a fundraising dinner to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County
LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) — Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County is excited to announce the Tennessee Tailgate, a special fundraising dinner to support the opening of a Boys & Girls Club in Campbell County. This event will take place on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Ball Farm Event Center, located at 2107 General Carl W Stiner Hwy, in La Follette.
The evening will feature distinguished speakers Phillip Fulmer, former head coach and athletic director of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, and Judge Tim Irwin, Juvenile Court Judge of Knox County, former Tennessee Volunteer standout, and 14-year NFL veteran. A short, live auction of autographed sports memorabilia will follow.
This event is crucial in our ability to reach our fundraising goal so that we can have a club open at the beginning of school next year. The Tennessee Tailgate aims to celebrate the rich tradition of Tennessee football while raising essential funds to support the Boys & Girls Club’s mission: “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

“This event is not just a celebration of Tennessee football—it’s a commitment to the future of our youth,” said Bill Jones, General Sessions Judge and Chairman of the Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County Advisory Board. “We are honored to welcome Coach Fulmer and Judge Irwin, two individuals who exemplify leadership, perseverance, and community service.”
Individual tickets are $75 and a table sponsorship (includes 6 tickets) is $500. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and traditional tailgating food will be served. All proceeds from the event will directly go toward the opening of a Boys & Girls Club in Campbell County. Tickets can be purchased online or by scanning the QR code from the above promotional poster.
