One-time $2,000 teacher bonus survey sent to principals to share with their certified teachers

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- During the Director’s Monthly report portion of Tuesday’s Board of Education meeting, Director of School’s Jennifer Fields announced that TCAP testing would begin on Monday, April 14.

“We will be testing beginning April 14th throughout the month at the end of the month, there will be several make-up days,” Fiels said.

Also, during her monthly report, Fields announced the “one-time $2,000 teacher bonus survey had been sent out to principals to share with their certified teachers.”

“Responses are anonymous. Accepting this money, should they vote to do that would not be considered an endorsement of the Education Freedom Act and if the majority of teachers voted to accept the money, the Board would select a resolution that they would pass that states we do not support the vouchers, but we would accept the one-time funding for our teachers,” Fields said.
