LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- There was a flurry of activity on Howard Road Wednesday afternoon as a pursuit by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department began at 1:20pm. It ended with a crash.

A traffic stop was attempted by the CCSO in the Valley View area on Wednesday afternoon. However, the driver failed to comply with officers choosing to flee instead, reports from the CCSO said.

It was a short-lived pursuit with the vehicle of interest wrecking at 1:40pm. One person was injured.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
