One person arrested on drug charges at Jacksboro home

In between morning rain showers, sheriff’s investigators raided a Jacksboro home on Thursday.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- A month’s long investigation nets the arrest of one person after three pills, four half pills and a fourth of a pill along with drug paraphernalia were recovered in a Thursday morning drug bust, according to an arrest report from the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s investigators with the assistance of La Follette Police believe the contraband is Methadone, a schedule II controlled substance.

Not long after 9am, Det. Sgt. Franklin Ayers, the lead investigator, and other officers made entry into the residence at 187 Bunch Lane, just off old Highway 25W at Jacksboro, armed with a narcotics search warrant. The suspect, Craig Parks, was located in the master bedroom. In the meantime, Det. Sgt. Jackie Heatherly located the aforementioned drugs in a dresser.

Suspected illegal drug activity at the residence, located at the back of a dead end road, prompted the investigation, based on the report.

Parks, 55, 187 Bunch Lane, Jacksboro, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (schedule II) and unlawful drug paraphernalia.

Parks was arrested, transported to the Campbell County Jail and then released Thursday afternoon on a pre-set bond. He is due in court on June 2. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/21/2026-3PM-PHOTOS FROM CCSO)
