House Bill 1552, the Victims Rights Bill, strengthens the crime victim address confidentiality program to better protect those who have suffered harm was sponsored by State Representative Dennis Powers (right) and was signed into law by Governor Bill Lee.

State Representative Dennis Powers attended a bill signing for two more of his bills signed into law by Governor Bill Lee.

The first was  House Bill 1552, the Victims Rights Bill, strengthens the crime victim address confidentiality program to better protect those who have suffered harm.

The second bill was HB 1464, the Chance Carlton Act, provides electrical linemen with the same $250,000 death benefit currently provided to first responders killed in the line of duty. The bill is named in honor of Chance Carlton, an electrical lineman who tragically lost his life on the job last year.
