The Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen convened on Thursday

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Thursday afternoon, the Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen met and made quick work of their short agenda.

The board approved Resolution 376 amending the 2024-25 fiscal year budget. The purchase of four sets of turn out gear for the fire department was approved. The gear will be purchased from Southeast Fire; the four sets of gear will cost $17,506.80.

The police department requested approval to purchase two electronic speed signs for the town. The signs could be moved to different locations and will cost approximately $4,000 each. The police department has a grant to cover one sign while the town will need to purchase the other. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-07/04/2025-6AM)
