Peggy Blankenship, age 88, of LaFollette, passed away on Saturday, August 9th, 2025. She was a member of Bearwallow Baptist Church in Caryville. She is preceded in death by Husband: Bill Blankenship, Grandson: Preston Phillips, Parents: Lee and Ollie Cooper Powers, and several brothers and sisters.

Survived by:

Daughters: Vicki Miles and Gaye Watters

Grandson: Cris Miles

Great-Grandchild: Tyson Kase Phillips

Brother: Bobby Powers

Sister: Lynnette Volack

Special Niece, Janet Connor, who visited her often

Special Friend: Debbie Farmer

Several Nieces and Nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and Friends will meet at 11am Tuesday, August 12th, 2025, at Ridgeview Cemetery for Graveside Services and Interment. Bro. Bobby Powers officiating.

  1. I’m sorry to hear this. I remember Peggy and Bill from years ago at Bear Wallow Church. She was such a sweet soul! Prayers for the family!
