JELLICO, TN (WLAF)- Campbell United, Campbell County’s anti-drug coalition, has partnered with for Allies for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) of Anderson County and East Tennessee Save A Life for an International Overdose & Awareness event in Jellico. It takes place tomorrow, on Friday, August 28, at the Springs of Life Connection Center in Jellico from noon to 4 pm. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided.
Attendants are asked to bring a pair of shoes in memory of a loved one lost to overdose, as well as a photo of a loved one lost to overdose to be placed on the memorial tree.
“We will be remembering families who have lost loves ones to substance abuse issues,” said Kristi Beeler with ASAP of Anderson County. She encourages all those who have been affected by this issue to come participate in this community event.
Springs of Life Connection Center is at 185 Baker Street at Jellico.
