JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF) – One defendant has pleaded guilty in the drug related homicide of Abraham Zenas Wallace. The other defendant, Sonya Brotherton, the victim’s wife, has yet to settle her case.
DeAnthony Gilmore-Page pleaded guilty to reckless homicide last week. He was originally facing two counts of second-degree murder. His sentencing is set for Aug. 4.
On April 2, 2021, special agents with the TBI Drug Investigation Division joined investigators with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office in investigating Wallace’s death, after he was found deceased in the 300 block of Cumberland Overlook Lane in Jacksboro. His cause of death was determined to be an overdose caused by Fentanyl and Methamphetamine toxicity. During the course of the investigation, agents determined Gilmore-Page of Knoxville was one of the individuals responsible for distributing the drugs to him.
Agents also determined Brotherton of Jacksboro was also one of the individuals responsible for distributing the drugs to Wallace.
Brotherton is charged with second degree murder, along with a schedule II narcotics charge, according to court records.
