

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Since its opening in 2021, Mugs Ice Cream has welcomed visitors from all 50 states, and Wednesday brought more folks, first timers, from outside Tennessee.

“It’s kind of a family reunion in East Tennessee as most of us live in Illinois and Virginia. This is a half-way spot, a beautiful place to get together,” said Matt Aldeman.

Mugs, at 2435 Jacksboro Pike, La Follette, is helping you cool off this 4th of July holiday weekend. Mugs is open today from 4pm to 9pm and Friday from four until 10 with its usual Saturday hours of 2pm to 10pm.


On Sunday, July 5th, Mugs Ice Cream has special fireworks show hours and will be open from 4pm until 10pm. Mugs is generally closed on Sundays.
