Mr. Marvin Lee McGhee, age 66 of LaFollette, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Marvin was the owner of McGhee Pressure Washing and Lawn Care, a former Physical Education Teacher for many years at East LaFollette Elementary School, and took great pride in seeing his former students succeed in life. Marvin deeply loved his daughters and grandbabies, and will be fondly remembered as a man who was very kind and loving, and never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mauricia McGhee, parents, Otis and Maxine McGhee, and sister, Kathy Disney.
He is survived by his daughters, Megan Skeans and husband, John, Monica McGhee and fiancé, Justin Kennedy, and Madison “Miles” McGhee; grandchildren, Braxton Orick, Joshua Skeans, Lucas Skeans, Westin McGhee, and Chase Kennedy; brothers, Herbert McGhee and wife, Bonnie, and Odie O’Dell McGhee; sister, Mary Ellen Smith; “best buddy”, Tucker; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM with Bro. Tyler Green officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Marvin Lee McGhee.

He was a heck of a guy. If he told you something, you could bank on it. RIP.
Somebody hit my mailbox and destroyed it and my mail was everywhere. Marvin drove by introduced himself and helped me retrieve my mail. He was a very kind man. Rest in peace my friend.
