Marshall David Lawson (Dave), 58, of Caryville, Tennessee, passed away on August 26, 2026, at home, leaving behind a silence as profound as the thunderous way he lived. He didn’t just live life, he took it at full throttle. A true force of nature, Dave was driven by an appetite for adventure and a pace that left everyone else trying to catch up. Nothing captured his spirit, quite like tearing up mountain trails on a four-wheeler and kicking up dirt with wide-open passion. He moved fast, loved hard, and seized every opportunity to feel completely free. Because he lived with such intensity, his passing comes as a sudden shock that has shaken all who knew him. Yet, for all his high-speed pursuits, his heart belonged right at home on the farm. Some of his favorite hours were spent simply hanging out on the front porch, laughing and swapping stories with his siblings. That same fire carried into his marriage with his wife, Kim. Their relationship was anything but quiet, a stormy, fiercely devoted bond shared by two strong-willed people who rode out every twist and turn together.

He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Effie Lawson, brothers, Kevin and Ronnie Lawson; son, Marshall Andrew Lawson, nephew Corey Lawson; and brother-in-law, Gene Dotson.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Lawson; his children, David Lynn and Jordan Tyler Lawson; his stepchildren, Alisha Wilson and Jamey Dabney (Jessica); his siblings, Rick Lawson (Jamie), Jacklyn Claborn (Loyd), Jannifer Tackett (Joe), Warren Lawson (Karen), Hope Dotson and Anthony Lawson (Tina); his grandchildren, Hayden Andrew Lawson, Emma Grace Wilson, and Braxton Lawson; his special bubble buddy, Addie Ayers.

The family will hold a private gathering at a later date.

The family has entrusted the care of Marshall David Lawson (Dave) to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most”.
