CLARKSVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Luke Ivey competed in the discuss throw and shot put at the TSSAA State Track Meet in Clarksville on Thursday.

Ivey performed extraordinarily well, breaking a Campbell County High School record.

In the discuss throw, Luke Ivey threw the discus a staggering 182 feet 8 inches. This broke the previous CCHS record.

Not only did it break a CC record, Ivey’s toss was more than sufficient for first place at the state meet, clearing second place by 11 feet 4 inches.

Ivey also competed in the shot put and performed well enough for a third place finish, with a mark of 50 feet 11.25 inches.
