LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Asbestos is gone, and water is to soon be flowing. Last week asbestos was removed from the former bank building in the 200 block of West Central Avenue. That structure will soon be razed to make room for a new McDonald’s later this year. On Monday, LUB crews began preparations to run water from where Depot Street meets West Central Avenue to the West Central site.

The new water line will run up this street, Depot Street.

The water line is expected to run up Depot Street from West Central Avenue and over to where the McDonald’s will be constructed. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/28/2025-6AM)
