SNEEDVILLE, TN (WLAF)- Adam Ellison’s Cougar Baseball squad traveled to Sneedville on Friday to battle the Hancock County High Indians on the baseball diamond.

Campbell’s Eli Lawson finished his day on the mound with quite the accomplishment. The junior pitcher threw a no-hitter.

Lawson (above) pitched five innings, allowed 4 walks, and struck out 6 Indians, while allowing one run.

The Cougar bats were hot as well on Friday.

Riley Gunter, Tyler Cook, Dylan Ford, Rylan Rice, Eli Lawson, and Cooper McQuitty all drove in runs. Lawson and McQuitty brought two Cougar runners home apiece.

To top off the already impressive day on the baseball field, Dylan Ford smashed a home run.

The Cougars 8-1 victory on Friday, and 24-3 win against the Blue Devils at Jellico on Saturday, bumps up the Orange-and-Blue’s record to 6-10.

Campbell’s Monday and Tuesday games, today and tomorrow, are postponed. The Cougars play the Beavers on Wed. at 6pm at Karns and then are home with Karns at 5:30pm on Thu. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/07/2025-6AM-PHOTO SUBMTTED)
