Campbell defeated Karns 59 to 42 after a solid shooting night

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Lady Cougars experienced offensive woes the past two games scoring only 34 and 33 points. Campbell needed to see the ball go throw the net and a fairly large number on the scoreboard. The Lady Cougars saw exactly that on Friday at home against Karns.

Bella Lester and Carley Kitts swished two three points shots to start the offense early, and this really fueled the Lady Cougars. However, Karns offense showed up in the first quarter as well. At the end of one, Karns led 13-12.

Campbell County gained the advantage in the second quarter, and never relinquished it. At halftime, the Orange-and-Blue led 23-18. At the end of the third, it was 35-23. The final score was Lady Cougars 59 Karns 42.

An impressive four Lady Cougars finished in double digits. Lacey Pemberton was the leading scorer with 15 points, 13 coming in the second half. Bella Lester, your Mills Door and More Player of the Game, finished with 14 points. Saylor Hutcheson ended with 13 points. Carley Kitts scored 10 points. Jayden Kitts rounded out the score book with seven points.

The Lady Cougars are now 15 and 3 overall and 4 and 1 in district play.
