Johnny Heatherly, age 79 of LaFollette, passed away on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025. He was a member of First Independent Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam veteran, former LaFollette City Fire Chief and a lifelong musician. He enjoyed playing piano and guitar and loved playing and singing in church. He was a founding member of the LaFollette Rescue Squad. He is Preceded in death by parents: Charles Heatherly Sr. and Pearl Leach Heatherly. Brothers: Lee Heatherly and Charles Heatherly. Sisters: Georgia, Louise, Fay and Betty Heatherly, Joyce Maples, Helen Bilbrey.

Wife: Lucille Branam Heatherly.
Daughter: Melissa and Paul Lusk.
Son: John Heatherly.
Grandchildren: Bryson and Haley Dopp, Chelsey and Austin Heatherly.
Great Grandchild: Sutton John Dopp.
Brother: Ray Heatherly.
Sisters: Margaret Shears, Mary Ward.
Several Nieces and Nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday, February 14th from 5pm- 7pm at First Independent Missionary Baptist Church 225 E. Beech St, LaFollette TN, 37766 with a Funeral service to follow at 7pm officiated by Rev. David Hicks. Family and Friends will meet at Cross Smith Funeral home at 10am Saturday, February 15th to go in procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for a 11am Graveside and Interment Service.
