Matthew Moore’s 2009 graduation was a stepping stone to today’s graduation.

KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF)- WLAF’s Matthew Moore made his radio debut at age seven, and he continues a career in broadcasting some 15 years later here at WLAF. Today marks a milestone in Moore’s career as he will graduate from Pellissippi State Community College.

For the past couple of years, the young broadcaster has masterfully juggled work, school and family on way to earning his degree from the School of Communication, Arts and Media Technologies. That juggling included producing more than 80 WLAF sports telecasts each year along with other special telecasts to go along with the hour or so commute to Hardin Valley all the while managing class time, home work time, and family time with his wife Joshalyn.

Though WLAF’s Matthew Moore has been a part of WLAF since he was eleven years old while a student at La Follette Middle School, he made is radio debut in Knoxville as a Wednesday Weather Kid on B97.5 radio on October 12, 2011. Connect HERE for Matthew’s first time on the radio in 2011.

In fact, all that is on WLAF’s website today about the candidate’s breakfast is a Matthew Moore production. WLAF’s Aaron Hopkins edited and managed all the audio with Moore’s production.

In his young career, Matthew Moore has rubbed shoulders with some big time broadcasters like Mike Keith.

Matthew’s wife Joshalyn has been his biggest supporter. On their wedding day, Matthew said “she gets me”. Her unwavering support is a testament to that.
