The Industrial Development Board (IDB) held its regular meeting on Thursday

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The Industrial Development Board (IDB) held a brief meeting on Thursday evening, approving the transfer of 3.89 acres of industrial property from the county so it can be sold. This was the only item on the agenda.

The IDB Board authorized Board Chairman Mike Freeman and Vice Chair Jay Willoughby to represent the board in marketing and negotiating the sale of the property for industrial use.

The property that was transferred is located in the Caryville Industrial Park.

According to Willoughby, transactions like these are part of the purpose of an industrial board, to help negotiate the sale of property and to bring industry into the county. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-03/31/2025-6AM)
